At the beginning of the 22/23 season, Magdalena Hinterdobler made her highly acclaimed debut as Eva at the Frankfurt Opera in the new Meistersinger production by Johannes Erath under the baton of Sebastian Weigle. A new production of Der Freischütz (Agathe) is to follow at the Chemnitz Opera, as well as Magdalena's long-awaited debut as Chrysothemis in a new production of Strauss´ Elektra at the Innsbruck Opera. The season concludes with another highlight: Tosca at the Aland Opera Festival.
Magdalena Hinterdobler was born in Straubing in Bavaria, southern Germany. She studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich and at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding under the guidance of Andreas Schmidt and, in lied, Helmut Deutsch.
Magdalena Hinterdobler has rapidly established herself as one of the leading German singers of the younger generation.
She recently made her highly acclaimed debut as Eva in Wagner´s DIE MEISTERSINGER VON NÜRNBERG at the Frankfurt Opera, whose solo ensemble she will be a member of from the 23/24 season.
From 2014 to 2022 she has been a soloist at the Leipzig Opera, where she has collaborated with the Gewandhausorchester in making major debuts in the title role in Dvořáks RUSALKA, as Micaëla in Bizet's CARMEN and as Marie in Smetana's THE BARTERED BRIDE. Recently she has intensified her work...
